ARISE COMMUNITIES

Women of Grace

This group was birthed by the Holy Spirit through my wife, Rosemary, who serves as its patron. Its mandate is to motivate our women to establish a passionate and close relationship with Jesus as they sit at his feet. (Luke 10:39). It’s also involved in teaching women how to make hand crafts, hairdressing, baking, sewing, and lessons about menstrual health management.

Girls and women worldwide often face cultural and social barriers or stigmas around their menstrual cycles. Access to information, preparation, and support makes it possible for a young woman to successfully manage menstruation. Successful menstrual health management equips girls to become better educated, economically independent drivers of change.

The group is investing in sanitary supplies, learning how to make their own washable, reusable sanitary pads, and gaining practical knowledge about managing discomfort, pain, and cleanliness.

Vocational Training

Vocational training refers to instructional programs or courses that focus on the skills required for a particular job function or trade. In vocational training, education prepares students for specific careers, disregarding traditional, unrelated academic subjects. Vocational training provides hand-on, job-specific instruction and can lead to certification, a diploma or even an associate’s degree. As for us, we are in the preliminary stage of trying to empower our people with skills through our own minimal financial support that we have and our social capital.

We are looking to establish a full-fledged facility, which will benefit the institution. A lot of our people are out of school and without jobs. This opportunity will come in handy for our community as it will offer a second chance to our people and it will be a life changer. We consider it a place of skill, innovation, creativity, and excellence.

Formal Education

The gift of education can change the course of a child’s life. By the grace of God, we intend to invest in rural communities as they build for the future. Increasing access to affordable schools will enable hundreds of children to complete their basic schooling and go to university if that’s their ambition.

Additional programming in health and nutrition also helps students improve their well-being. Schools help children realize their dreams. Whether they want to be engineers, doctors, lawyers, or journalists, these children have that opportunity.

One educated child could make an impact on his or her entire community, raising the quality of life for everyone.

Agriculture

Since farming is done predominantly in villages, we will support our rural communities with agricultural programs, namely in modern agriculture best practices. covering topics like soil, irrigation and pest management, and food safety. Also, the use of agricultural machinery like tractors will be considered when farming is done commercially.

Access to Safe Water

In rural areas, even unsafe water may be miles from homes. to make clean water easier to use. Wells must be dug on church school grounds. Employing rainwater-harvesting systems in communities is crucial and mandatory. Workshops about hygiene and sanitation issues for school teachers and community leaders are on our agenda.
